Norfolk, VA – May 22, 2006 – Wasabi Systems Inc. will show the newest additions to the Wasabi Storage Builder®64 product family at the QLogic Worldwide Partner Conference, Fusion 2006, May 22 – 24 in Dallas, Texas. Highlights of Booth # 405 will include demonstrations of currently available versions of Wasabi Storage Builder64 for IP-SAN 2.0 and Wasabi Storage Builder64 for NAS featuring an integrated iSCSI initiator, as well as a preview of new technologies available in early Q3. Wasabi will show full integration and interoperability between Wasabi’s modular IP-SAN and NAS products as well as Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise clients, including QLogic HBAs. Announced last month, Wasabi’s modular IP-SAN appliance allows up to 2TB storage capacity in a 1U rack or 6TB storage capacity in a 2U format. The result of a collaborative effort by AIC/Xtore, Wasabi, AMD, Tyan and Western Digital, the IP-SAN platforms leverage the technology offered by AMD64 processors and are the first network storage platforms based on Wasabi’s Storage Builder64, a true 64-bit network storage software platform. Also recently announced, Wasabi Storage Builder64 for NAS includes an integrated iSCSI initiator developed by Wasabi to enable the use of iSCSI targets to supplement or replace locally attached disks or RAID arrays. With the additional configuration flexibility using iSCSI targets, system builders can now partition NAS server and RAID array functions to better meet costumer needs and specifications.
