SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – April 17, 2007 -- Wasabi Systems today announced full support for the Intel® Storage Server SSR212MC2 , a flexible 2U rackmount hardware platform that supports 12 enterprise-class SAS or high-capacity SATA HDDs . The PCIe-based Intel® Storage Server SSR212MC2 supports fully buffered DIMMs and up to 2 high-performance dual core or quad core Intel® Xeon® processors. When coupled with Wasabi Storage Builder® for SSR212MC2, the Intel storage server is a scalable, high-performance application server that can be configured with internal storage (DAS) or as a dedicated networked NAS or SAN storage appliance.

Wasabi Storage Builder for SSR212MC2 features full configuration and management support for controllers through its innovative web-based GUI, and does not require the use of external RAID BIOS for management of RAID sets and virtual disks like other competing systems.
