NORFOLK, VA – August 27, 2007 -- Wasabi Systems announces the latest performance enhancements of Wasabi Storage Builder ® , its tightly integrated, high-performance turnkey software solution that transforms standard server components into dedicated iSCSI networked storage appliances. With Wasabi Storage Builder v2.3.1, it is now easier than ever to build and market Storage Builder appliances for your end-users. The latest version offers support for more than eight drives with two or more LSI and Intel RAID controllers. Additionally, the RAID Level 6 functionality implemented in the previous version enables protection against multiple disk failures and significantly reducing the risk of data loss due to such errors when rebuilding RAID. Additional performance upgrades include enhanced functionality for the installation of two LSI cards installed in the same system and improved compatibility with Linux iSCSI initiator and open-iSCSI.
