Frank G. Logan, III
President & Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO, Frank Logan leads Wasabi Systems in all facets of corporate and strategic development. A seasoned CEO in the hi-tech industry, Logan's professional track record spans more than 20 years of corporate and entrepreneurial leadership. Logan's experience encompasses the founding of two software startups, two turnarounds, and the acquisition of six companies. His hands-on approach, combined with his vision, determination, and creativity, has earned him a variety of industry honors and distinctions, including being named the Ernst and Young / NASDAQ Entrepreneur of the Year for a successful corporate turnaround which culminated in a Nasdaq Public Offering.

Logan has held prior President/CEO positions at VenturCom, Chesapeake Bay Systems, Nematron Corporation and Imagination Systems Inc.

Logan holds a B.S. in Economics from Purdue University where he graduated with honors. Logan serves on the Board of Directors of the Hampton Roads Technology Council.


Michael J. Kress
Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Michael J. Kress is Responsible for leading Wasabi's global sales. He drives the Company in attaining its revenue goals while building and maintaining customer relationships. Most recently with Insyde Software, Inc. as Vice President, Sales and Business Development, Kress brings more than 20 years of sales and management expertise to Wasabi's executive team. His highly successful professional history that includes building a successful sales and field applications team, focused on embedded OEM device makers in the United States, from start up to over $30M in revenue. Before joining Insyde Software, Kress held a variety of sales and management positions with Phoenix Technologies, Ltd., including Vice President of Sales for the Americas and Europe.

Kress holds a B.S. degree in Management from Bentley College in Waltham, MA.


Jim Schrand
Vice President, Marketing

Jim Schrand directs Wasabi's company-wide strategic, product and marketing communication strategies. He joined the company in April 2004. Prior to joining the Wasabi team, Schrand spent nearly 17 years at Intel Corporation, working in silicon design and development, product engineering, marketing, and management roles. During his last 18 months at Intel, he was part of the Intel Communications Group CTO office, responsible for developing a cohesive storage strategy across all Intel divisions and working with the various marketing and field teams to implement those plans. Prior to that, Schrand managed the storage business in the Embedded IA Division, where his team increased revenue by a factor of 8 during a three year period. He also worked in the Storage Components Division of Intel, driving I/O Processor design wins.

Prior to Intel, Schrand worked for Eastman Kodak in their research labs in Rochester, NY and NCR Microelectronics in Dayton, OH. Schrand holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Arizona State University.


Jay Michaelson
Vice President and General Counsel

Jay Michaelson provides legal counsel for Wasabi Systems. A noted expert on open source licensing issues, Michaelson is the author of several articles and white papers including "The GPL and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act: What Executives Need to Know" and "Open Source Licensing: There's No Such Thing as a Free (Software) Lunch." Most recently, Michaelson co-authored a series of white papers examining and analyzing the Sarbanes-Oxley risks associated with Linux.

Prior to Wasabi, Michaelson founded and ran one of the first independent Internet consulting firms specializing in the non-profit and academic markets with clients including Yale University and Tel Aviv University. He also worked for an Israeli law firm specializing in international technology-related transactions. Michelson's work has been published in several newspapers and magazines, as well as law journals including the Yale Law Journal and the Duke Law Review. Michaelson received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1997 where he was a senior editor of the law journal.


Rena Berardi
Corporate Controller

Rena Berardi is responsible for all finance, treasury, corporate governance and human resource functions and directs all financial reporting for Wasabi's US corporate office and foreign subsidiaries.

Joining the executive team in September 2003, Berardi brings over 20 years of senior financial and operational management experience from both large corporate and municipal government settings. Berardi holds a Bachelor degree from Virginia Wesleyan College. She earned her Masters degree from Old Dominion University, and is a CPA candidate.


Stu Fisher
Director, OEM Sales

Stu Fisher directs the global sales of Wasabi's OEM products. Fisher brings to Wasabi more than 20 years of sales and business development success in the computing industry, including an extensive background in storage and RAID applications. Prior to joining Wasabi, Fisher managed sales development for Intel's Storage Components Division where he was successful in procuring major design wins for RAID platforms.


Kellie Prince
Director of Professional Services

Kellie Prince leads and manages the delivery of Wasabi's professional services. Responsible for consulting, training, education, and technical support operations, Prince forges effective and enduring customer relationships, ensuring that service and projects goals are not only met, but exceeded.

Prince has more than 20 years experience managing technical projects. Before joining Wasabi's executive team, Prince worked for the JF Shea Company and The Boeing Company.

She holds a degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University.
